I really like Panopticon and Oceanic, haven't heard anything else from them. I agree that Panopticon has more mellow vocals than Oceanic.

People have already recommended Pelican. Check out Red Sparowes (sic). Their album is also instrumental, though not heavy like Oceanic. Two of the members are in Isis.

Word is that Isis will be backing Tool in their upcomming tour, anybody hear anything about this?

I read that somewhere, too, but I believe it's a false rumour.

As of yesterday, the bands says they're not touring with Tool in Europe this June. However, they will be recording at the time, which means a new Isis album is on the way.

On my ticket to the Tool Luxembourg concert Isis is marked as opening act.

I guess I need to get into their stuff a bit.
