Where can I DL the Foobar ASIO Plugin?

I've been reading through a ton of posings and whenever there's a link to a site with the plugin, it's either a dead link or to this japanese site filled with dead links. Thanks ahead of time.

All the links work fine, thought the page is in Japanese.

Maybe the file format of the download is something I've never encountered, but it's some sort of .7z file. What is that? I certainly can't open it, and my computer doesn't recognize it.

You can find a program to open the file no problem. Now my question is should I get the dll version or should I get the exe version? I have tried this before and still am unsure how to apply this correctly last time I tried I caused foobar to become just that, and ended up just reinstalling it.

OK, thanks, that did it (the unzipper program). That's the most useful innovation since the PING file. Anyhow, I found that the "normal" .dll worked fine, but I had to switch output to 32-bit first for it to work with my USB-> MicroAMP.

Got it working... Now what should I set the buffer size to? Also should I select direct input monitor? And in the thread priority drop down which option should I select.

AFAIK, do not set Direct Input monitor on. I put the Thread priority to normal, as I don't require low latency, and sound doesn't skip at this setting. YMMV.

Well that just leaves the buffer setting. Any clue what I should set this to ?

High enough that you do not get audio dropouts under load. The plugin will allocate the number of ASIO buffers you specify there. The ASIO buffer size is set up in the sound card's control panel, or ASIO4All if you're using that. If the defaults work fine, leave this stuff alone. If you get crackling, increase the ASIO buffer size. If you get dropouts under load, increase the number of buffers.
