True, certainly quite a good phone - especially for use with receivers/integrated amps with comparatively high output impedance.

fewtch: There was quite a bit of Ultrasone talk on the forums for a while, when their (then) new line of closed phones (HFI-550 et cetera) appeared - that might have been before you joined, though...


Hmmm, another one I rarely ever see mentioned is the entry level Lambda phone/system (SR-202/SRS-2020). But there seems to be a new one now, anyway - the SRS-2050II (http://www.stax.co.jp/ENG/products.html), apparently with a new version of their entry level amp (SRM-252II).

Not much about Sennheiser's HD 433 and M@H40, either...

unpadded dt931s are surprisingly excellent sounding imo.
