Buying a turntable: reccomendations

I've amassed a decent collection of vinyl over the course of about 2 years, but I've been playing them all on my cheap fully automatic pioneer table. I'm looking to buy a turntable that's a step up from my current one.

That's the one I currently have. I'm looking to buy one new for about $200. MY reciever and speakers are mediocre at best, so unless I do a full system upgrade
I'm guessing a high end turntable would be a waste. All I want is something to play my records, which are in fairly good condition, without much scratchiness or bloated bass. I'm no audiophile by any means, but I know what sounds good to me.

I've heard about the used Thorens and that they make good budget turntables.

Something like this:

Of course, I'm guessing I'd need a phono stage but I don't know where to get these, or what a good price range is. Any help in finding the right turntable is appreciated.

You can get a very nice Turntable for already $ 300 - 400. But I see your also open to used Turntables. This means, there are many wonderful options for you.

I would suggest to post your question over on the Audio Asylum http://www.audioasylum.com/audio/vinyl/bbs.html this is a very active vinyl site and there should be plenty of people, that can give you great advise.

I just had a look at that Thorens auction and I would not waste my money on that. You will be able to buy a much better and cleaner TT for your budget.
