What's the diference between Super.fi EB and Super.fi Pro ?

Well, you can read about the difference in the driver types at the web site (along with some diagrams of the inner workings). The EB has a balanced armature driver and a diaphragm for the bass, while the pro has 2 balanced armature drivers.
I have owned both and just as they advertise the big difference is BASS. I think that the Bass produced by the EB is crazy for an IEM. If you listen to lots of bass heavy music (read: BASSHEAD) the EB are for you. The mids and highs are acceptable, but you may need to eq some tracks to bring them out.
The 5pro is my IEM of chioce and it still produces great bass while also giving you solid mids and highs. I listen with no eq in most situations and find the sound to be fantastic. A little more crisp and detailed than the EB IMO. They are great for rock music, they have a good soundstage and are very comfortable (as are the EBs).
Everyone has different ears as some people here do not care for either of these phones, just like I do not care for the Shure line. Best thing to do is a comparison if possible, but as that is hard with IEMs I would recommend the 5pro. I also have the Super.fi 3 Studio for working out and it is an OK addition to my collection. OMG I think this makes me "Team Super.fi."

Super.fi 5 EB has Extra Bass, when compared to sf 5 pro.
Like most people said in other threads, EBs are only recomended to those who are real bassheads. Because of this, it may lose in detail and sound more muddy.
But since I've never tried them, and since this is very relative, the best thing is to try for yourself.

With earphones you HEAR the bass and it sounds great, but there isn't that same physical sensation. But then you probably knew that already

Anyway, I've come to avoid using the EB's with most other kinds of music. The mids and highs are actually not distorted or unpleasant, but they definitely are quite recessed. So, for example, with rock or trance music the emergent sound ends up seeming unnatural to me, and not terribly enjoyable.
So my point is that the EB's are terrific as a kind of "specialized" earphone, i.e., for music in which the bass is front and center. For other kinds of music I would recommend you get something more balanced.
