I have noticed a major lack of canadian hi-fi vendors and am seriously thinking about starting an online store. I just wanted to get some input on products and weather or not you all think there is enough demand? I would be offering canadian buys a signifcant discount etc soo yeah let me know what you think!

I thought about the same thing a few months back. There isn't a lack of hi-fi vendors, there is a lack of online hi-fi vendors in Canada. Also, there isn't a very large market (yet - consider the iPod), so you'd better consider international sales to keep your business in the black.

I was still planing on selling internationaly but I am appaled at the insame mark-ups in Canada and want to offer a equal market price to that which people in the states enjoy. This would definently be an on the side operation and i would have limited stock and mainly cary what is most sought after. Who know I might not be able to get it going but that's why I'm looking for imput to see if it would be worht while.

I think it'd be a great idea considering there's a couple of Canadian brands (like Paradigm) whose stuff people often wind up importing BACK from America just because there's no Canadian internet retailer, which is just stupid. So it gets my vote. If you'd had such a site a couple of months ago I would've bought my speaker rig from you.
