FS: Magenta (Margules) FZ47DB Phono Pre

Have 2 phono pre's, this one is a nice 2 piece unit, with internally adjustable loading. I do not have box or manual, but I imagine you can get a copy of the manual, or at leats more info, from the manufacturer.

As you can see in the pics, there are some marks, but this is functionally perfect, and sounds MUCH better than it's price here would indicate.

One of these went in auction on Audiogon for $350 last week, and another is on A'gon for $300. I'm selling mine for $250 + shipping (should not be more than $10-15 insured in US).

MO or Paypal OK, no extra fees for Paypal. PM if interested.

Thanks,

Todd - skullguise

Bump and more info......from the mfr web site:
---------------------------------------------------
The philosophy of the design is based in a circuit topology that does not use any moment negative feedback: all the equalization is passive. It consists of an input amplifier that raises the voltage and lowers the impedance, followed by the first step of equalization and a second stage of gain and current amplifier followed by the final equalization and output stage.

To give the user an extended flexibility to adapt it to his system, the unit incorporates internal dp switches with 16 different input impedance levels that vary from 27K to 390 K Ohms. [my note: defaults to 47K ohms, see specs below]

To improve the signal to noise ratio of the FZ47db the power supply is external and dual regulated.

To complement the design effort we have chosen to incorporate precision metal-film resistors, polypropylene capacitors, silver core interconnect cable and golden connectors

----------- and some specs --------------------

Preset Input Impedance Z in 47Kohms

Maximum output Voltage
13 V

Gain
45db

Noise
0.44mV Loaded

S/N Ratio
89 dB at max. output
