i bought them for roughly us$108. when i first heard them, they sounded different from the canalphones i've heard so far (e4c, er6i, er6, md33, ep630, ex81, ex51..) the basic difference is that there is no more of that 'plastic chamber' sound. the sound seems to resonate differently. its a rather clinical and 'airy' sound. the highs and mids are nice, without overpowering and not sibilant. the sound is a tad bassy, but it fits my listening needs well.

the model is hje70. it is the flagship model from the company. the housing is made out of metal. i think it is the top performer in the semi canal phones category. there are the similar priced audio technica ck7 and the new sony coming up. i went with the panasonic one because i need a short cord phones.

How about a pic, Skylab? I have thought of using that spray paint (Krylon?) for plastic, but I don't have a black iPod YET.

Nano and ATH-FC7, which I just got in today, and after a ear cushion mod, I'm happy with them--very balanced headphone.

I can post one Friday -- I'm out of town right now. I don't use it that much anymore, since I had my RedWineAudio mod done.
