what I get most from the UM2 is how dark they are compared to UEpro5s. I like UEpr5's better unamped. I like the UM2 better amped.

What opamps are you using for that comparison?

Just the stock ones with SMv3. I not much into op amp rolling. The sound didn't change to much with using them with EMP. Just dont use the EMP to much because of the floor noise. There was more bass with EMP.

The other way I run this is just off the modded 1212. Which has more power then jack out of the ipod. The modded 1212 gives more bass to the sound. without or with SMv3.

The differences between the two IEMs was noticeable regardless of the source/amp combination.

But I will add the using the UE-10 does change your ideas on what you want to see in IEMs. Without that experience I may not have come to the same conclusions.
