invisibleshield and windex

if i understand correctly, i just use straight windex instead of the soap water? are we sure this has no long term consequences? are there any other last minute tips?

edit: is this what the edges look like http://gallery.andrewng.com/Invisible_Shield_healed ? seems like they collect the dust. are those pictures just bad or overly revealing?

It looks like they just didn't do a very good job of putting it on. If you install it correctly it should look much better than that. My edges aren't coming up at all.

did you use windex, or soap water?

well, i just got done using windex. it worked out great. the back of mine had some small scratches, and these seem to have created a few bumps on the back (maybe there was dust that caught in them). i actually did the front first. when i turned it over after finishing up the annoying back, i realised there was a small piece of dust on a corner of the screen. i was able to peel it back just enough (it was already sticking pretty well), wet it down with some drops of windex, remove the offending particle, and re-apply. if i were to suggest anything, it would be to cut off the little flaps in the corners. they wont help much, and only cause problems.

I used water, and found that you had to wait until the corners were pretty much dry before you tried to press and hold them down, and then they'd stick.

pure windex is the way to go.

yes some of the IS sides are short so they dont come all the way up. the BSE does go all the way up (have em on there now) but oi they stink at being scratch resistant. i dont care because they are at a non-visible side (i have my ipod in a case as well) but I would still pick the IS.

I was looking for this. So, instead of using the little bottle of "Shield Spray", you can use Windex? It does just as good of a job? Safe to use?
