im on the market for some new headphones to use with my ipod 20gb, which may become a nano. Quite recently, my Sony mdr ex71's lost their sound, predominanlty the bass. Before this incident i was quite surprised and unaware of how troublesome these particular phones were, considering my ex71's had been going strong for about a year and a half up until the breakage (i also got them $25 cheaper). I've been thinking of getting these phones again, or the ex51's as they are cheaper and relativiely the same. I am a paranoid carer for my equipment, but after reading up, i am put off by buying these again, even though i thoroughly enjoyed the sound they delivered. Can you guys help me out as to other alternatives in that price range (maybe even a bit pricier) that are well worth the money and deliver a great sound? Also am in Australia so i think that around 80 - 120 AUD would be about 60 - 100 US.
