Reasonably priced beatles vinyl?

Ugh, so I'm trying to get into vinyl and the Beatles are the first band I can think of to start a good collection of.

Hours later, my head is awash in mono japanese, parlophone, BC-13, stereo german one-off blue vinyl pressing, blah blah going for millions of dollars.

Is there such a thing as a reasonably good quality set of **reasonably** priced vinyl recordings of the beatles??

cheers,

Yes the BC-13 blue box set generally had for $200 give or take. Why is $200=13x $15 an LP not reasonably for the best sounding Beatles vinyl out there (from the original master tapes!)? Try to verify you're getting a pre-1987 set as some after are from digital copies.

$15 each! A no brainer.

Hello Eyeteeth, thanks for the response.

That *does* sound like a good deal, but unfortunately I have yet to find anyone not intent upon cash-raping those of us looking for actual music rather than some box of ego to put on a shelf.

Case in point:

The guys says "the reserve of $395 is rediculously low"..

Yeah, it's rediculously something. I guess I'm just irritated that for one of the supposedly greatest bands ever, there isn't a solid choice of good sounding vinyl available at a good price.

/rant.

I will, however keep a lookout for that box set. Thanks for the advice

EDIT: After poking around more on Ebay, I have found some reasonably priced blue box sets. Thanks again Eyeteeth.

cheers,

Your welcome.
Ignore the "Buy It Now" guys with the jacked up price. And it's sort of expected but still a bugger when you think you're getting the box for $90 until 5 minutes left in the auction and wham bam some guy starts trying to outbid you and you're looking at $190! That what happened to me. That does seem where the price levels off, $180-$220.

There were like 20 sets available when I was shopping. I looked just awhile ago and I saw this with 37 seconds left! US $103.60 winning bid.

Here's another US $130.00 6 hours to go.

I limited myself to American or Canadian sellers.
You'll get a box. Be patient, check the seller's feedback and shipping cost.
Hopefully you'll grab one at a low price.
Good luck!
