High quality 2 to 4 outlet power conditoner?

I think my top choice at this point is the Shunyata Research Helix stuff but the fact I have to spend extra for the power chord kinda peeves me off a little bit.

Another option is the PS Audio Ultimate Outlet which I hear good stuff about.

Any others? Any comments about the two I mentioned? Any info would come much appreciated. I basically want this for my CDP and AMP and potentially a separate DAC.

The PS Audio Ultimate Outlet only has 2 outlets. It's is a fine performing product (I have one) but, I believe Paul McGowan doesn't recommend putting a source (especially digital) and amp on the same outlet.

Well that sucks. I really don't want separate power conditioners, one for the amp and one for the source. I have my limits. My first choice the Shunyata which to my knowledge doesn't have that restriction.

How about a PS Audio UPC-200? According to the product info, it looks like it is basically two UO's in one package.

Well, we have the same power, and i find the Ultimate Outlet cleans things up fine! Thw PSaudio website provides lots of information on the various permutations of it's products (no registration).
Which amp have you settled on?

Well, geez trogdor, how much current does that thing soak up? Looks like the Ultimate Outlet isn't adequate with your new setup.

Now, now, now, its not THAT bad. It seems I found a local place (closer to you I thnk) that handles at least Shunyata Research with some kind of trial period which sounds intriguing.

Unlike their ICs which do the job usually very well, I've been told by various people to vaoid their power line conditoners like the plague. It seems some people have experienced some level of degradation using a Monster unit over something like raisin's PSA UO.

We shall see. I'm hoping this local place gets back to me but I'm beginning to think that all brick and mortar audio shops suck. If I'm not interested in a 7.1 home theater system, I'm worthless!

Anyone else on this topic? I'm surprised there isn't more comments about this. I've talked to my local guy and he will let me borrow the Shunyata stuff for a day or two.

Nobody?

I think the only problem with the MOnster units is when someone buys a unit to low for their load. If they buy a 100$ monster and connect a 500 watt reciever to it, you will get veiled/rolled off sound. That shouldent happen if you properly match the correct monster unit with your hardware. Also some people might be stupid and plug it into the wrong outlet. Most monster have dual or more types of outlets for 500 watt's or 1500 watts. Not to sound like a Monster comercial here, but the power units where designed by a long time audio engineer. I forget his name.. Marsh somthing, he built some of the very first audiophile power conditoner's in the 70's I think. From my own experiance I had a Monster HT800 hooked up to my amp for a day and noticed no ill effects, nothing obvious anyway, not like when I plug into a cheap powerstrip where it's night/day.
