Volex at best price

For all the Volex power cords at the best prices, go to...
http://www.carlton-bates.com/11th_Edition/528.pdf to see what you need.
Then, CALL 866.600.6040 to order; they even charged me less than their catalog price . They are in Arkansas.

Dusty at Channel Islands Audio recommends shielded cords for all uses and the 14 gauge for his amps.
I'd probably use the 14ga for everything.

A Tip for Purchases from Carlton-Bates

Carlton-Bates offers a price break per cords at 2 cords, and has a $5 order handling charge if the order is not over $25.00. I was originally interested in one of each of three cords - total: $26. So, I ordered two of each - total: $31. So, for an additional $5 I doubled my order there. The sonic improvements of putting a 14 AWG Volex on each of my computer and Berhinger DEQ/DAC (in place of the power cords they came with) are not at all subtle in my rig.

Carlton-Bates is the cheapest reseller. The part numbers you want are:

17604 - Shielded
17504 - UnShielded

Very little reason to use an unshielded cable on a headphone rig since the power draw is small. Just remember that CB has a $25 min order to avoid handling fee. Trust me, you'd rather a $5.52 PC than a $5 handling fee

My Carlton Bates box just came in today, with 5 big 17604 shielded cables inside. Bit pricier after brokerage, shipping, etc coming across the border, but whatever, they're still cheap.
I'm only halfway through one album afetr swapping over, and damn...Bass is huge, but without hump. Not only that, everything sparkles. And snaps. I'm floored.

I think I'm going to need better isolation cones. I have to thank Solude for the heads up...Nice one.
