Amp help for upcoming DT 880 - Page 3

I am facing the same dilema as the OP. I have recently come across the Rockhopper M3. People seem to think it is the most tubey sounding SS amp around. It might be the best of both worlds for me.

i would say that the M3 is warm, which isn't really the same thing as "tubey". the PS Audio GCHA, for instance, sounds very similar to tube gear, to my ear, but it's not really "warm" in the same way as the M3. tubes have a presentation all their own which is indepedent of the sound being "warm" or "cold".
