Quick headphone adapter question: need help

Has anyone used both the Grado and Senn 1/4" to 1/8" adapters?
Im hearing static/fuzz with my Ratshack adapter, am going to buy one of the above.
Problem is, im broke and the Grado is 4 times the amount of the Senn-even though they look exactly the same.
If there is a difference in quality, then ill just get the Grado one b/c this static problem is driving me crazy. If not, id rather save my money and order maybe two of the Senns.
Static may be an HF-1 problem and have nothing to do with the adapter-which is what im trying to find out.

I had originally bought a cheap Ratshack type adapter to connect HF-1s to my PA2v2. While I didn't have the static problem, the crappy adapter refused to make a proper connection with the amp, resulting in the lead vocals either being very quiet or nonexistent!
I now use the Grado adapter and am loving it - no karaoke-type music and no static at all (except certain poorly recorded CDs, which can't be helped).
I haven't heard the Senn adapter, so I can't compare it.
Buying 2 Senn or Grado adapters would be overkill I think, both companies will provide a quality product the first time around. Good luck.

Really...no static with the Ratshack-thats a bad sign for me...
I guess ill just go with the Grados.
Do you (or anyone) know how I can reach Grado?

Now that I think about it I can't really definitely say that the Ratshack adapter didn't introduce static. At the time I hadn't yet bought my Emu 0404 and was resorting to my onboard AC'97 sound along with the adapter. Not a combo one should torture himself with for long! I assumed my static was coming from the onboard sound, but never tested it.

I live in Canada and bought my Grado adapter from a local Advance Electronics. I haven't really looked, but the only website I know of to get the adapter is toddthevinyljunkie.com.

There was a comment on one of these threads not too long ago from a member who eventually gave up waiting for his Senn adapter. He cancelled the order, and was soon informed that the company was expecting to be able to ship the adapter out to him by the end of November. I'm not sure if that means you'll get it shipped right away, but I just thought I'd let you know.

I just spoke to Senn yesterday-they said another 3 weeks, which could mean 5-6 weeks in total.
Im just going to go for the Grados and call it a day.

I have both and connection with the Grado adapter is a little snugger, though I can't say I've noticed a difference soundwise between the two.
