I will be going to Singapore for Transit on Tuesday. Does anyone know shop with good price for Audio Technica or AKG headphones? It would be good if it is in Orchard Rd. As I will be there from 3pm to 7pm. Thanks for the help.

What headphones do you want? Best to decide on which model you want to get and how much you are willing to pay for. You've got PM.

Do not miss the change to get the DT880 or DT770 from Anything Audio. You are ABSOLUTELY in luck. Only S$299 and S$220 respectively. The boss told me he still has 3 pairs of 880 in stock. You do the math, DT880 @ USD165. I think DT990 is also on sale.

Print this out and show it to the cab driver.

Indicated by the red star, Parklane Shopping Mall

It is within walking distance to Sim Lim, you sure can pick up some very cheap (relatively speaking) computer stuff (HDD, RAM etc).

Sim Lim Square as indicated by the red star (not Sim Lim Tower) is just a 5-10 min walk away. Walk along Middle Road and then Prinsep Street. You can try the Singapore famous Chicken rice along the way below Sun Sun hotel along Middle Road. Navigate around the map to find your bearing between Parklane Shopping Mall and Sim Lim Square

Sim Lim Sq is here

Just nice for 3-7pm.

Anything Audio : Parklane Shopping Mall #04-09

He opens by 12.30 latest. Great for your 3-7pm timing.

He has Audio Technica and AKG headphones too, but no promotional pricing.

while we're on the subject of headphones in singapore, anybody knows if it's possible to get Alessandro headphones in Singapore?

I'm thinking of getting my dad a pair of MS-1's, since he seems to be using my SR60 most of the time

Thanks!

unfortunately, no. the closest place you can order from is www.hifi.com.tw - give them an email - they speak good english. i'd recommend a direct CC payment via fax as money transfer fees can get a little high.

Thanks for the reply. I think I will go with the beyer. Anyway I'm from Australia so that price is really cheap as it will be around AU$240. In Australia it cost around $500. 2100, Can you ask the boss to keep one DT880 for me?
For shaunyeap I think you can buy straight allesandro website if I'm not wrong they offer free shipping.

Thanks for the replies, guys

I think i forgot to mention, that i'm from M'sia, and am going to singapore in jan for a wedding. So i thought i'd check some headphones out there.

The reason i hessitate in ordering them directly from alessandro, or any other online retailer is because the malaysian customs can be a real b**ch!! Don't wanna risk being taxed

Ooh well...thanks for the help. I'll have to try and find someone to bring me back a set, from the US, probably ...hehe

RHES4,

I have already told the boss that you will be dropping by on Tuesday 3pm-7pm Singapore time. He has 3 units of 770 and 3 units of 880 left. Enjoy!

Remember to print out the map.
