I'm sure there are some fans of Chris Whitley on this site. If you didn't know, I'm sad to tell you Chris passed away on Sunday. I'm absolutely crushed.

My last name is Whitley, maybe I'm related. I didn't know of him but it still is sad.

Sad news indeed. Chris Whitley has made some outstanding music over the years and leaves a true legacy behind. He never stayed in one place musically for very long, but each stop along the way was always memorable.

I remember the songs "Narcotic Prayer" and "Oh God My Heart is Ready."

Very sad - a superb guitarist and songwriter, who deserved to be much better known.
