I don't like the Little Dot better, I mostly use the GCHA with all of my cans and the little Dot for the tube flavor from time to time.
Only when I listen to the K701 I prefer the LD. It might be that the K701 benefits from the tube sound but I can’t tell that for sure.
I'll get a Phonitor delivered in a week or two, then I'll be able to test that.
If it is indeed the tubes that do the trick, imagine what it would sound like with a maxed WA6. To me at least.

WA2 maxxed, but I'm AT fanboy so I do not think 701/2 do sound to their best with my current equipment. They sound the best I've heard in my rig, that's for sure.

I've tried them with all my amps and still prefer them with the Heed Canamp. And I don't like any other phones much with the Heed. Go figure.

For sure, the K701 shines with the Heed. But, what about the WA6 with the K701? I thought that maybe it could sound better than the Canamp with these cans.

Should have my Matrix M Stage amp next week. I love the Littler Dot MK11 but want to see how the Matrix drives the 701. I think it will interesting as the vibe on this amp it is a great match with the 701 .

I really disliked the K701 with the WA6. It seemed totally lifeless and way too "smoothed out." The WA6 is my first call for my Grados, however, where it's one of my favorite setups.

Unfortunately I haven't listened to the K701 + Canamp combo, but I use them with a WA6 and love them; very transparent, airy, detailed; nice soundstage (currently listening to my vinyl copy of "Kind Of Blue" through that setup).

Per my sig, listening mainly with a Creek OBH-21SE amp via an ALO iMod Dock and 5.5 iMod. I always thought the Creeks were a bit sterile but after hearing it through the iMod dock, the sound is very good: wide soundstage, deep bass, and a very pleasing quality that I never got before with the Creeks.

B22,M3, and Bijou. all have different sonic flavors but are equally satisfying. if you need more bass than the M3 partnered with a K701/2, you're a bass-head .

It's not bad, just quiet, depending on the level of the programme material the 0202 may need to be turned all the way up to get anywhere near a realistic level. I am very happy with the Creek OBH11, still cost more than the 0202 wich includes DAC & ADC...

I tried the 701s on my Sony WM D6C cassette machine, the headphone out on that sounded surprisingly pleasant, not particularly accurate but pleasant.

The silliest was plugging them straight into my Sansa clip, the 1/4 - mini adapter is bigger than the Clip, worked (i.e. sound came out) but not recommended.
