Hey, I feel like a star, since this is the first time I've had the chance to start a meet impressions thread!

I liked the food.

The people were Ok.

Nice gear too, and lots of fun, even Head-Fi beer.

Sorry, no pics and no impressions for now, just a big thank you to Matt for organizing the meet. Thanks also to Gene for organizing the tickets to the Blind Boys of Alabama and Charlie Musselwhite. Awesome show.

The food was good today... or did I already say that?

I've had the pleasure of seeing Musslewhite 5 times. My all time favorite harp player. He rules the world of the blues harp! I bet it was a great time.

Good beer, gear and more beer.

It is pretty good beer, I had a chance to try it when it was being bottled a week earlier. Should have drunk more so they had less today and could post pics

LOL, rather large meet is over, normally threads have pics up within minutes,

So far, we have impressions on beer. and nothing more LOL

So who's organizing the Head-fi Beer Group Buy!?!? I'm down for a few cases.

Best,

-Jason

Postscript: PHEW! Dang you agile_one, you almost got me pulling out the wallet for the HF-1! Managed to resist yet again!

Nothing much happened. As wmcmanus said, we listened to stuff, talked, drank a little, ate. I don't think anyone had a camera.

Despite the above, I wanted to thank Matt (NightWoundsTime for organizing this excellent meet! I am pretty beat after a 4 hour drive turned into a 5:30 hour drive. However, PsychoZX and jp11801 are home safe. You will see more impressions tomorrow when the rest of the guys get home. I think the three of us are the only ones home at the moment. The rest are still at the hotel and we left them a 12 pack of 22 oz. beers for when the get back from the Brewery in Ybor City. Hopefully, Aaron and Gary (Guss2) will share.

Thanks to Ray and Justin for joining us!

Did I mention that we got to hear the HE90 with the new electrostat amp on the block? It was definitely a treat. Nice job Justin!

Oh yeah, my Raptor sounds better than ever for some reason. Thanks Ray!

I should add that I was impressed with PsychoZX's modded HF-1's. So much so that I am having them done to my HF-1. I spent more time with these cans than any other today. They truly make a difference and imo are worth the price of admission.

I also loved RnB's Senn cable. I've compared many IC's and Senn cables since coming to Head-Fi and the differences are many times subtle. However, the difference between the RnB cable and the Zu cable were like night and day. RnB has a winner with this cable. More to come later.

All this talk of beer sure is making me thirsty!!!

finally got home after a painful ~5+ hour drive back to miami...

great meet, thanks to NightWoundsTime

and definately great seeing everyone again!

the head-fi beer was great... worlds first audiophile beer... uses genuine rain-forest glass made by the lost indian tribes of mexico for that extra warm sound... the silver plating on the bottle lowers the impedance of the beer also making it much more detailed, and no caps in the beer path! fully biased into class a assures the perfect amount of foam each time and that rich full taste that can only come from discrete components, no IC's in our beer!

more later, i need to go crash in a bad way

I am finishing one at the moment, trying to wind down from the drive. Despite what you all may think, it was not all about the beer. Not that there is anything wrong with that. We had a great time. We had two very nice sized rooms with the idea one would be a quiet room. I have to say, having hosted 2 meets, 2 mini meets and attending 3 other meets, a quiet room is an impossibility. We just talk too much and too loud.

Another highlight was NightWoundsTime's Denon tt. It was like a piece of furniture and really was a pleasure to listen to. Also, thanks to Matt's parents who brought some great food. Matt's mom spent some quality time with the R10's and his MPX3.

Don't forget the Rainbow Foil we placed under the label.

I'm home, and beat. What a day. My legs are hardly working right now much less my eyes. How did I get home again? Ok time for sleep.
