Current production PCDP models with Line-Out ?

Hi, I found only two models from Phillips (the only two they make) that had line-out capability. Arn't there any others ?? None of the Sony and Panasonic have line-out (?)

BTW, would the Phillips be a good choice ? Please feel free to recommend any other.

I am perplexed by the choices in Sony. Do all of them have the same guts (DAC, output stage,etc..). Some models of Panasonic seem to have this "D.Sound Digital Amplifier". Not sure what it is or how good.

As you have an idea by now I am shopping for a PCDP. Line-out would be good to have but not a "must-have" so decent headphone performance is fine too. I will using it with a PX-100 or SR-60.

A slight push in the right direction would be highly appreciated! Thanks!

Mid-range and up Sony PCDPs (D-NE520, NE920, NE20) have line-out. Sony integrates into the headphone out jack, the line out is selectable via menu.

Panasonic US version models are deprived form line-outs. You have to get a Japanese version of them to have a dedicated line-out.

strange their specs dont mention that nor did the customer service know. However, here are the two I have finally narrowed it down to -

Sony D-NE520
Panasonic SL-CT582V

Has anyone heard both - just the unit on a decent set of headphones (and not the ones that come with them) ? Any inputs/opinions would be helpful rather than taking a shot in the dark.

audio solutions ATC-549 $12.99

I bought an Audio Solutions PCDP at Walgreens on sale for $12.99. It has a dedicated line out and no anti-skip feature. It even has a built-in battery charger and a healthy headphone output, although I use the Go-Vibe dedicated amplifier with my AKG k501 headphones.

I'd be interested if anyone knows anything else about it, but, on the surface, it would seem to be custom designed for Head-Fi members.

can someone please tell me which retailer carries the D-NE520 ?? I have looked high and low but none carries it!

OTOH the SL-CT582V is everywhere!
