USB bus usage, USB DACs

Do any of you USB dac users try to keep the USB bus as clear as possible to cut down the possibility of noise? E.g. using a PS/2 mouse and keyboard instead, etc?

Or is this completely a non-issue?

shouldn't be an issue. It's digital so noise margin should take care of that. Just imagine it like having two hard drives in your computer. If both cables are transmitting date, one does not create enough noise to corrupt date on the other and vice versa.

This may sound weird, but there is a definite audible change when I am have my USB Sonica playing, and I plug in my memory card reader. This isn't placebo, it's very easy to A/B and very easy to pick out the change. The sound becomes a bit "dirtier", and a little harsh. I'm not sure what would cause it, and it doesn't happen with my USB scanner. Very strange.
