Next upgrade from a Denon DVD-1920.

Considering that the Denon 1920 cost around $300, give or take, what would be a worthwhile upgrade in sound quality. I just got my SinglePower PPX3 SLAM today, and though it sounds good, I will love to compliment my new tube amp.

NAD C542 at $500 or Arcam DivaC73 at $700.

i'll let you know how the Slam pairs with the eastsound CD-E5 after the meet on saturday. i foresee an eastsound being my next purchase unless the Scott Nixon Tube Dac is even better than i think it will be.

Ide also suggest the Onix XCD-88 at $300 (highly modable should you want)

the CI Audio VDA-1 is also very nice as well as the said Nixon TubeDac+ should you go the Dac route.

Also, explore audiogon a bit... they have many many many stock and modded CDPs
