Shorter cable for Senn. HD-497?

I just bought a pair of HD-497s.

I like them, but as I am using them for my portable, I REALLY don't like the length of the cable. I have seen that sennheiser makes a 1.5 m cable, but I can see that the plugs don't match the plugs used on the 497s. Also, Sennheiser makes a wind-up cable clip, but I can't find them for sale anywhere.
So... do any of you know where to get a replacement cable or a cable clip for use with HD-497s

Any help will be greatly appreciated

Just shorten it! Or get a friend with soldering experience do it for you.
