Sounds nice. You like the GR01s over your ATHs by a lot I'm assuming?

Okay...so this may not be the wow material for your hp's but Smashing Pumkins: Melcollie and the Infinite Sadness is brilliant!!

Oh lord, Straight Street by John Coltrane makes my Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro sound as if they were a pair of 1,000 dollar headphones.

The GR01's are brand new to me, just got them yesterday, so im still in the honeymoon stage. So far i am loving them. Usually for me i can tell right away if ill like the sound, i was blown away immediately by the clarity speed and detail. These are my second balanced armature IEM, my other was the Sleek Audio SA6. I liked them but i was never able to get the top end i wanted from them, and the dynamic range always seemed a little crushed. These GR01's sound brilliant in comparison to any headphone or IEM i have heard so far. They are great for rock and metal which is what i got them for. the CKM500's started to seem bloated and slow, so the search was on for something faster and with less bass bloat. These also isolate much better and are more comfortable. So far im real happy with them.

i like this one because the bass goes up and down around the same volume level and my frequency response is flat enough to enjoy the smoothness.

i think the whole song sounds smooth in the youtube video.

i dont know if the cd is any different, but it sounds like there are layers of audio close together to eachother on purpose.

i like how the bass sound kinda gives rise to some wind or pressure pushing on my head.

i like how the bass is really really close together and then there is other parts that lay on top of it.

**edit**

it sounds like there are parts with mud, and then other parts of pure clean on top of it.

it gets me hype.

If the Katamari Damacy OST isn't overwhelming interesting on headphones, I don't know what is.
