Im not sure if it has been mentioned (feeling too lazy to read the whole thread), but my fav albums for the 595s are:

Dashboard Confessional - A Mark, A Mission, A Brand, A Scar
Jack Johnson - In Between Dreams (Particularly Awesome "Feel Good" Music)
Coldplay - X&Y
Green Day - American Idiot (Another really nice one)
I have also been getting into some Rimsky-Korsakov and London Philharmonic

...And I would love to hear Fall Out Boy's 'From Under the Cork Tree' on some Grados... 595s dont do them justice. Time to get some MS1s I suppose.

Try a well remastered Jazz-Recording of the fifties or sixties like Jimmy Giuffres 1956 Atlantic-Recording "Jimmy Giuffre 3". The clarinet will sound awesome with your HD595!

there are just way too many albums that i love listening on both my 595's and my 25's

honorable mentions are Rage Against The Machine who made my 497's rock harder than i thought possible, Tool, Nine Inch Nails, Nick Cave, Muse, Sparklehorse, Spinvis, Machine Head, Metallica, Lamb of God, KMFDM, Killswitch Engage, Iron Maiden, Incubus, Fun Loving Criminals, Evanescence, Enigma, Eminem, Dusted (Faithless), Dream Theater, Dr. Dre, Dire Straits, Deftones, Daft Punk, Crash Test Dummies, Children of Bodom, Blur, B.B. King, Apocalyptica, 4Hero, The Dust Brothers, Yann Tiersen, Sonic Mayhem, The Prodigy, Toy Dolls, Weezer, The Doors, The Strokes and then some .. and some classical too

each and every artist/band mentioned has quite some music that i just love rocking out to and sounds great to boot. personally i find it hard to listen to an album which doesn't have recording to match the music.

Listening to T. Raumschmiere now, trying to split my head in two with a buzzsaw of distorted .. well whatever it is

X2. OK Computer is probably the most layered album I've ever listened to, and definitely the first thing I'll listen to when I get my new 'phones!

Someone said Coldplay's X&Y. While I hate the album lyrically (" I cut you down a tree, and brought it back to me", or something like that, is one of the lines... BLEH!), the production is awesome.

Also, you can't go wrong with 1812 Overture if you want something epic and impressive!!

Anyone here who said Eric Clapton Unplugged, you owe it to yourself to go out and buy his Reptile album. I really love this little (relatively) unheard of gem, and personally feel it's his best recorded/mastered album of all time.

Beatles - Love
This album is just magic with my CD3K's...

Pink Floyd - DSotM
Never heard it on vinyl, but I can imagine. Time makes my spine tingle.

Supertramp - Crisis? What Crisis?
Not one of the best recorded or mastered albums, but there's something about this one that just pulls my eye lids to a close and makes my feet tap like very few others. Makes any headphone shine in my book.

Agreed. I love that one. It's so delicate, and very few recordings sound just right to my ears. Decay, pitch, tempo, etc. are all so pivotal to this work, imo, it often times comes off as sounding awkward. when done right, however, it's bliss.

(Must refrain from posting anything ELO )
