i got the mx5021s btw and they are sooo clear so crisp....if u set the volume to the lowest setting how come i can still hear music very faintly...also where would u suggest to put the sub cuz i seem to be having a bit of problems projecting the bass...maybe i'm not corner balancing it right?

also futureshop has this great deal for logitech Z-5300E
Our price: $299.99
Discount: -$150.00
Sale Price: $149.99

so its 150 which is 30 bux cheaper than my 2.1's which i dont understand,...its almost such a good deal i want to get them. Besides not having dual mid range drivers and a super tweeter that mx5021's have and the fact that logitech only has single driver. is this a good deal? like i dont wanna get sucked in if its not worth it but to me it seems sooo cheap... oh and also other than the fact that logitech likes to go boom boom i mean i like its bass its nice..

but whats the dl on these speakers

continuation of post

is there any sites that offer good speaker reviews for computer speaker systems for major brands or models like lets say logitech-z5300e or klipsch promedia ultra 5.1 or mx5021

i just bought the mx5021 it sounds nice and clear and everyone says its pretty much one of the best 2.1 spks u can get but i am soo not familiar or experienced to tell whats good and not whats clear and not that its hard for me to assess or judge them

i have the audigy 2 zs sound card and there is this sale on logitech z-5300e for $150.

according to www.tomshardware.com which to me seemed kind of bias they said that the logitech z-5300 are Very clear for midrange and not bad for high range which is hard for me to believe considering its all single 65mm drivers for the satellites comparing it to things like s750 or mx5021s which are 2 drivers mid and high or even dual midrange with tweeters. so i pretty much have a limited basic knowledge of this and wish to get more informed and knowledgeable.
But then again even tho toms hardware is kind of bias i checked even sharky.com they had a small blurb if u seach up logitech z-5300 and click the first link the "may high end buying guide" they said and i quote " Logitech makes some of the best PC speakers around" "The Logitech THX Z-5300e 5.1 speakers simply offer the best bang for your buck than any other midrange set we have ever tried. Delivering a total of 280 watts RMS power, these speakers redefine the meaning of "bang for your buck," and offer considerably better sounding output than the Creative Inspire T7700 7.1 set we previously recommended."

so i'm incredible lost and out of the loop if someone could give me any bit of insight it would be very appreciative.

Dual or single driver with computer speakers isn't much of an issue since you're really not going to go that low with such small speakers.

Logitech makes decent gaming and movie/tv show speakers. They sub is crossed over way too high for music and the mid-bass is jacked up pretty high. But there's lots of it and it goes down pretty low for that class of speakers. These will get disproportionately good reviews from computer sites due to their huge bass.

Klipsch ProMedias are much better for music uses, but again, still not great. A cheap T-Amp and a set of bookshelf speakers will be better for music, although it won't have the low end extension of the sub/sat systems. It is a good all around compromise though.

Creative's mid-ranged products are outclassed as a rule of thumb. They'll have more speakers, but will sound worse.

In the extreme high end (for computer speakers) you have the Klipsch ProMedia Ultras and the Creative GigaWorks (not the pro gamer version). Both are better than anything else in this class, and the GigaWorks are better and the Ultras.

That's not a particularly brilliant deal on z5300s, anyway. I got mine for CAN$199 from NCIX a long time ago. It just looks good because the original Canadian RRP for the 5300s was ridiculously high.

They're about as good as a set of speakers that cost $33 each can be expected to be . Fine for the price range and the convenience (for PC use), but nowhere near high-end.
