Question about detatchable cable mod/sub-mini plugs

Hey all,

I modded my grados a while back to give them a detatchable cable, and while I like the convenience, I find that the signal tends to cut in and out every now and then if I move around. I used a fairly standard set of Neutrik (I think) sub-minis from mouser.

Are there better quality sub-minis out there that I could use that would alleviate the poor connection quality?
