,,,,,,and fits no real forum category so here is as good as any place

Don't let the semi techy nature of the labels fool you. These are common language answers to many things audio related including digital recording theory, what an error is and acoustic room treatments.
Some of the descriptions may also finally put to rest a couple of repeat questions but that I doubt considering how many "what is the best wire" questions we get every week

Ah the Sound Reinforcement Handbook is the text for that course (see bottom of that page). Morsel recommended me to get it some time ago and I did. I think it is an excellent book, even though I have only read probably 10% of it.

You need to read that .Exellant book.
Even if you never apply a single thing (link or book) in your entire life it is always good to know your subject and if that subject is audio then some "why" questions need to be answered if only to get the best out of what you have or avoid getting ripped off by hype meisters.
The parts on interacing also a must read

This is really cool. I only skimmed through parts of it but this looks like a fun past-time for the next weekend. I've been looking for some accessible audio techy stuff for the non-enlightended like the articles on rane.com, so thanks a lot for the heads up!

How easy to understand is the Sound Reinforcement Handbook?

Well, same could be said for excellently written books on differential equations. The fact that the book is excellently written doesn't necessarily make differential equations easy

I'd say the book is very clear, have plenty of illustrations and diagrams, it is very explanatory, and to the point. Doesn't mean all the topics are really easy to digest in one quick read though, that's all I meant by the above analogy. (Not that the topics are as difficult as differential equations at all).

Click here for the "search inside the book" pages on amazon, you can read the index and bit of section one there to get an idea.

Here“s the link to the book, which btw has 28 reviews and 4.5 starts. That also speaks quite well about it:

Thanks for the analogy and links, but did you have to mention differential equations?
The book and reviews look good, I'll have to read it soon.

the cool thing about all inclusive information is you can take the easy in the fisrt few bites and once you have a full understanding tackle the next level.you will most likely find what was once baffling and way over your head to actually be easy to understand once you have that "basics" foundation.Doors open one at a time man but all open eventually
