RS2's with a GoVibe III = ~$600

or

225's with Headroom Micro = ~$500

I listen to mostly Rock (but also 80's ,Techno, Rap, Classical)

Can I suggest a third option...

HF1 + headroom micro ~$500

IMHO thats your best bet... for the $$$

i would probably go with the 225s and the Micro.
