I really like Dan's reviews and he seems to be reviewing a lot of headphone gear this past year. Funny guy.

Very funny & to the point.

This description reminds me of one particular head-fier who keeps insisting that the gear he owns at any given time is clearly "the Best" there is---until he sells it. In the meantime he keeps posting how great his gear is, and that we never heard his very special amp for his special cans and that we, therefore, have no idea what's good and what's not.

Anyway, that's a little OT...

I just wasted 2 minutes of my life reading that garbage. Stop creating threads about his ramblings about Hi-Fi anything. It's a waste of bandwidth.

I rather enjoyed that read, and I'd much rather waste time reading through this "Dan" guy's rantings than those of someone else, such as, say, Maddox.

ya i thuroughly enjoyed how the guy cross linked/referenced just about once a sentence. hes got a good sense of humor and links to interesting stuff, see the "people believe all sorts of things" and the "one small player definately doesnt do this" links.


also, for people that dont enjoy this guys reviews, i dont believe that he is trying to write for other hi-fi enthusiasts, i think that hes writing more towards a general audience, maybe one that is slightly more tehcnically knowledgeable, but still not high end audio enthusiasts. he is actually doing a good thing, and that is trying to generate interest in headphones.

Nice review. We need a lot more USB-DACs out in the marketplace, however.
