I'm sure this topic has been done to death here already; maybe you could point me to a thread.
Basically I'm asking about tube rolling for the MG Head OTL Mk III. I'm using it with K501 'phones. I feel it is a little dry sounding and could use a fuller midrange, more sweetness.
So what to do? Change the 12AX7 first or the driver tubes? Any recommended 12AX7's ? Upscale audio is within driving distance of me; I could easily hop over there and try various tubes (the guy has a KILLER selection of NOS tubes).
