There is no "better". They are both equally good at what they do.

It comes down to preference. Bass and lower midrange impact, with a tighter more "in your head" soundstage of the PA2V2... versus the flatter response, broader soundstage, and treble sparkle of the govibe II.

I usually prefer the sonic character of the govibe II, by a slim margin. Although there are times where the PA2V2 bass slam is VERY fun to listen to. Its boosts bass without being sloppy or muddy. But I easily prefer the small size and re-charge feature of the PA2V2 as a portable amp.

I think you can still order the govibe II for around $70.

Draw straws... they are BOTH equally good... thats why I have both

**edit**
I also have a little DOt Micro coming next week... Rumored to have an open sound and treble sparkle like the govibe. BUT its a LOT smaller.

Looking forward to read your opinion on the Little Dot Micro because I'm interested in getting one for myself.

so in other words, you have absolutely no idea how the amps compare from a sound quality perspective.

Yup. All I know: the Zero uses two (gain + buffer) stages made with (upgradeable) OPA2227's (the gain one biased to class A via resistors), which I know for sure (from datasheets) is a higher precision part than the LM4881. But, the latter is designed as an audio power amplifier, less so the former, like all normal opamps. The Zero also has "Jung multiloop" feedback topology. The incidence of all that on sound quality I can't precisely tell.
