Just got off the phone with Mikhail, and decided to purchase one of his amps, He is DEFINATELY one of the most polite and kind sellers I have had the oppurtunity to communicate with via phone.

He started going into technical details and such about tubes and conversed about what headphones we consider enjoyable. Im really excited, and Ive pretty much maxed out my credit card :X

but I really needed to upgrade my timester amp. which sucked.

Congrats, Myo I'm sure you'll be very happy with your SLAM.

Now you will really be able to hear you cables

Time for a source upgrade too

Congrats!

Congrats RnB, that's very exciting! Now you'll have a great amp to complement your fine cables.

Congrats!

By all accounts, the SLAM is getting much love whereever it's playing - it's almost too good to be true. Could this be THE definitive headamp under 1k US$?

I am extremely excited to be getting mine back from Singlepower. Also hope it will pair well with these sweet new ATH-W5000 phones unveiled today....

I'd wager it'll kick the pants off a lot of amps costing more than that .

RnB - congrats, I can't imagine you'll be sad about the purchase. I spent a good amount of time listening to the SLAM at the last Boston meet and was very, very impressed. So much so that I'd actually think about buying one, which is saying a lot for me who's never bought a single commercial amp product.

The XCD-88 is a great player out of the box...

...and only improves with the numerous mods which can be done.

Congrats RnB, make sure to post impressions when it arrives

Completely OT, who's the girl in your display pic? Before when she was wearing a Qualia, i assumed you'd just copied it off a site or something. But since it now appears to be the same girl with a different set of headphones, i have to wonder

isnt the raptor significantly more in cost?

anyhow, im excited about the amp upgrade, and I really hate the timester amp.

Mikhail said it takes about 10 days to build and I had it ground shipped.

soI hope it arrives in 2 weeks.

it depends on the configuration of the Slam, but the Raptor is certainly much more expensive than the stock Slam, which is what i have.
