I'm coming to the end of my contract with Nextel and am thinking of ditching the radio to save a few $$ and go with something else. Amazon seems to have mail in rebates on most phones that would make the phone free (once you get the check) assuming you have never been a (fill in the Srvc provider name) customer.
Has anyone had or know anyone that has had experience buying a cell phone and service from Amazon? Is there something under the surface to beware of besides the 2 year contract?
