Has anybody heard of the amazing BBC forensic serial-killer series Wire in the Blood? I enjoyed it so much -- it was vaguely embarrassing how I would jump around in front of the tv with glee like a six year old waiting for [whatever it is that six year olds watch these days]. Urggh, I'm gonna havta get the season on dvd.

The original CSI is running away with it thus far.

Sorry, I forgot Cold Case and Without a Trace. It doesn't look like you can edit poll choices. I also thought about putting older shows like Columbo as choices, but I ended up going with current shows only.

My favorites are Law & Order: Criminal Intent and Monk. Vincent D'Onofrio and Tony Shalhoub are both fantastic. I think with the passing of Jerry Orbach, the original Law & Order lost its magic and has become uninteresting to me. Monk is great because it's funny in addition to the mysteries. I didn't like the move to get rid of Sharona (Bitty Schram) in favor of Natalie (Traylor Howard) though.

NUMB3RS also made very questionable casting moves for the beginning of its second season. The new female detective/criminal psychologist is not convincing enough. What was wrong with Rob Morrow's partner from last season? And the other new male detective comes across as a prick. He is terrible. When I first heard about this show I was ready to write it off immediately as silly and stupid. But then I caught an episode that had this amazing bank robbery shootout between the robbers and the detectives. It was incredible. It reminded me a little of the scene in Heat, except not quite as intense. But it was very well done. Ridley Scott is behind NUMB3RS. Unfortunately it airs on Friday nights.
