tube rolling suggestions?

I've recently gotten a EarMax pro, which has been running for at least 50+ hours total. I also got a hd-650 with maybe 72+ hours of burn-in. The problem I seem to be having is that there seems to an emphasis on the treble due to the amp. I found this out just by pluging the hd 650 directly into the line out of my soundcard (Chaintech av-710). Compared with the soundcard, the amp sounds too bright and the bass is recessed. Is this characteristic of Earmax pros or are the tubes at fault?

There is a 6 pages and growing EMP tube rolling thread about 1/2 page down.

ok, so if I want to swap tubes, which tube would have the greatest impact if changed: the 12AT7 or the 6922s?

In my experience, changing the driver tube (12AT7) has a greater effect than the outputs (6922's). At present, I use Telefunkens all around, and like the detail and treble energy they have over stock. Amperex are also very nice. Many in the above referenced thread like the EH gold pins, but I have not tried myself.

Yes I think tube rolling might be somewhat cheaper than constantly buying new amps and cans. Or not.
