I realize how old this thread is, but I figured I'd see if anyone has any experience with refurbished Sennheiser HD650 headphones? I've seen some decent deals on them, but instinctively I distrust anything refurbished or remade that has a chance of being a of a well-duct-taped-Humpty-Dumpty of a product.
My HD650 was bought new because I wanted my warranty with it, but I did by a refurbished HD595 for only $90. It didn't come with the original packaging, but the headphones were in perfect condition, and it even came with the headphone clamp stand. If it is significantly cheaper, I would say to go for it.
Edit: Don't hesitate to look around on the For Sale forums here either. You might find a great deal and you can have picture proof of the condition of the headphones.
