Not quite, technically MJ97 is smaller by area.

E10 Dimensions: 81.9 (W) x 72.2 (H) x 9.9 (D) mm = ~58.54cm^3

MJ97 Dimensions: 70.7 x 77.4 x 10.2 mm = 55.82cm^3

It is also the first and I think only(?) player to be made out of duralmin, which is 2.5 stronger than magnesium... or so they say.







Sadly, thickness is all that matters, so MJ97 went totally under the radar.

I'd say the reasons it "wasn't appreciated" are:

Low power
Hi-MD had just come out or thereabouts
It's not limited edition or an anniversary model

Looks really good, they match nicely, it would be perfect if the foamies were balck or even white would look nice (tho it would look quite disgusting after many uses )

I think Apple should have done good using the name DOMINO with the nano, sounds better to me and it definitely looks like a domino piece in both its shape and color choices, imagine the marketing and advertisement posibilities!, a domino circuit made of 1000 Nanos! (now i wonder if i will ever see a Nano-like dap with that name...)

Sorry about the glare, old school digital camera + magnesium alloy bodied MD's make it hard.

Senn HD595 phones.
Sony NZ-NH1 Hi-MD player/recorder (currently in use).
Sony MZ-R900 MDLP player/recorder (previously used).

I run without amp on the go. The Senns are the newer model, more efficient power wise, easy to drive and lots of go. All playback is on Hi-SP on the MD's. Great battery life, exceptional playback clear highs, thumping lows.

Just a plain great, simple setup. MD's are great for driving reasonably efficient phones.

Most of us don't use flash for our pictures, just a well-lit area and steady hand and/or tripod/thing to put the camera on

lol, not quite that much, but more than i should have. No one bought my stuff, so i had second thoughts, so i invested more money into it instead. Thats the right thing to do isnt it???
