Singlepower Cables... WOW!

I did some listening last night on my SLAM changing from the interconnects that Mikhail made for me to some cheapo standard RCA cables and holy crap I don't know much about their design but I do know that they are pure silver and Cardas connectors were used for the tips.

I can not believe how huge of a difference these cables made. The most notable difference was soundstage. The soundstage was opened up to a huge degree. The bass was not affected much but the mid range really warmed and layered. The highs were probably the second most notable difference. The high end was really smoothed out but remained crisp but not overly bright... very fluid... very nice indeed.

These are just some minor and brief impressions but I think that Singlepower should be seriously considered by anyone looking for some cable upgrades. Mikhail may also try to make a replacement cable for my 650's I think I am becoming Singlepowers #1 fan!

thanks for the impressions. do you have any pics or know what the cables are made of?

if you try any other ICs, please let us know how the SP cables compare.

I can upload some pics this evening, for specifics on the materials Mikhail used you'd have to check with him

Mikhail uses 18awg silver wire... the idea behind the larger guage is to add some body back to the silver which can often sound a bit thin with the smaller gauges.

These cables do appear to disappear, sonically at least

Looks like a mighty thick snake of a cable. Is she flexible or rigid?
Although they are thick, the cables are quite flexible.

It's also amazing how neutral sounding they are. Now I realize neutral is a relative term. I just mean they don't seem to change the tonality very much. They would be great with a slightly bright system as they would not add any brightness.

I'm selling my pair now as my amp is slightly dark and I was looking for a cable that would change that slightly. Even though the Chimera Labs Advantage Series ics do add some treble to my overall sound, I keep switching back and forth between them and the Singlepower Cables because the Singlepower's are so smooth and non fatigueing. I've never heard such non fatigueing interconnects.
