Use whichever sound best to you - even full sized headphones. Hop in the car (don't run with them just yet) and cruise to the nearest hardware and pick up some stage tape. Voila! Now you can run with them... careful of the added wind resistance though

Are we talking about the force that holds the universe together - duct tape? What about us who still have hair on our hears?

they might be a little bit more but the AT ec7 are great for sports. the clips hold the buds securely in your ears and also give a lot of adjustability. the koss ksc35/75 are okay for low impact sports like weight lifting but for running and other sports where there is a lot of movement, the ec7 have worked really well for me.

In ear

In ear headphones are the greatest for running in my opinion. And on that note, noise-cancelling ear-phones are key. The best I have ever encoutered are the new Superfi 5 Pro's from Ultimate Ears. I just got a pair and they are insane.

I've had good success with the Koss KSC-75 along with a headband. I put the headband over the ears (keeps the sweat out) and clip on the KSC-75's. The headband also holds them on quite nicely.

Exact same experience here for me w the KCS-35. Initially they felt bouncy and tight at the same time (odd to say but accurate). However they never ever fell off and i realized that it was just natural flex with my running motion. also the pains was just initial discmfort then went away.

Been using them (KSC-35) for few years now: they have been nothing short of of awesome performance and value as a running headphone. I have the ER-6i for other usage (gym, planes, bus, travel, walking etc), but when it comes to running its KSC-35 all the away.

I have small ears and I found that the key is to makesure your earlobes are pulled all the way through. Hold the earphone with the same hand, bring your opposite hand across and use it to pull your earlobe all the way through.

Once you do that, they don't come off at all - just some natural flex, but they stay very well.

Also if you dont want over the ear type of headphones, simple earphones sucuh as the Sennheisers are fine - if you use a fleece type of knict cap to keep them in place. Not doable in the summer/spring, but quite viable in the winter and late fall when you would use a fleece to keep your head warm anyway. I used to do that before I discovered the KSC-35.

I used to use that type way back in the day when I had a cassette walkman, You are correct that they sound is not super, but its sorta acceptable quality for running.

However, they really are too open -and I fear that they are damaging to your hearing because you have to blast the music to hear decently with these.

If you really dont mind crap sound another possibility is the Koss Plug. Might sond like and odd choice for jogging (earplug) but the seal is so weak that you can still detect people/cars/bikes around you, yet it seals off some sound and you therefore blast your music less. Also they nature of the plugs makes it such that they stick in your ear even through jogging/bouncing. But its crap sound to tell the truth, very boomy bass. Still if there is a usage that the sound quality of this thing can be tolerated, its probably jogging!

I just joined this forum because my pair of ksc-35's died afte 3+ years of use. I sweat to the point where most people are grossed out. I've taken them off many a times and they were dripping a fair amount.

I guess I got lucky with the decision to get those. Didn't realize they were so popular. I was thinking of being lazy and getting the same ones. Did some searching dispite my bad habit and found many threads like this one. I'll be purchasing the ksc-75's now =)
