Whenever I wanna get fired I'd rather visit our top management accompanied by some strong drivers in order to test the sturdiness of baseball bats.
They are raising the pph (parcels per hour) standards every year, and we are already beyond what's doable.

I didn't get anywhere with UPS on this matter, they kept telling me that its the shippers issue, and that the shipper should be contacting them, not me. Is this true? The person I bought it from is at CEDIA right now, so I called to see if I can get something done, but he will call them up Monday and get things settled. The shipper (great guy from htguide.com, owns a home audio store in Fort Worth, TX) assures me that I will be getting a new P3 before any of this is settled, so I have no worries.

I hope for his sake, he gets full value back, although I don't see why he shouldn't.

I remember when UPS broke a chunk off of my friends all aluminum supercharger. Repair charges totalled $1200, they didn't even meet him half way on the deal, claimed the box wasn't properly packaged. Double boxed with 6 inches of bubble wrap and foam peanuts to fill in the gaps more than exceeds UPS's 2 inch of packaging rule.

Thank god I bought this new from a dealer.

All carriers have problems, and all carriers treat the packages more or less the same way, name one and I will give you a sad story about it....

Even we have heard some here, UPS is not the best, not the worst, simply another one of them, period, in some areas they are better than others, don't expect anybody that works for a salary like a beast, under heat or cold weather, and mostly under really bad working conditions, to treat a package in a decent way, my brother work for UPS and I know how the work inside UPS is, I have another friend inside the USPS, same case, they put the same care in a package that contains a chinese vessel of the Ming Dynasty, or an audio amp, or a jewel, or a box of nails...period, as most of the times they never knew what was inside the package,

If you want a really good service, use white gloves carriers instead, and pay three times as much, sad but true, that is why insurance exist, and why you have to package properly, and insure the packages, that is the sad end of the story....

lol, right now its Sunday morning and the status of one of my packages is "out for delivery". It has been like that for almost 2 days (both non-work days for UPS). It sounds like someone took the truck for a midnight joyride

This is very true. I visited a Fed Ex center the other day and their dock hand was tossing component size boxes about 5 feet onto a belt. Under the belt was concrete floor, and one has to wonder how many times he might have missed the belt.

I picked up a parcel at USPS a month ago and witnessed a worker on top of a 1 story shelf, throwing packages into a platic buggy below. The buggy was not very large and best days were behind it.

If one ships often, all you can do is pack well and pray the odds don't catch up to you.

One of the packages I sent from work has been "out for delivery" since mid-july. It contains a prototype product which in man-hours alone is probably worth ~15,000 USD....

Isn't there a time period in which the package can be considered officially lost. I mean two months is overdue?

I believe we have filed a claim already, but the package is still listed as being "out for delivery". And yes it is overdue, the standard transit time is two days
