| I should say that the 600 seems to grow on people more than any other headphone that I am aware of. |

Discounted products aren't really applicable) The replies need to be as short, and concise as possible, because they're (hopefully ~ if this takes off) going to be used as quotes within a new sticky (locked) thread... ). The rather warm paddings, weight, and overall fit of this headphone leaves room for improvement. They can be rather uncomfortable at night, causing me to reach for the HD580. Can be a bit fatiguing. Breaks in listening every couple hours will give your ears a breather. The cord is microphonic, which is annoying while listening at night or with quiet music. Isolation is very good. You can listen to whatever you please and no one will be any the wiser. The HFI-650 seems to keep more sound in than it does out, though, and might not be sufficient for travel by train or plane.
I also still need to get that mini-RCA adapter to use my amp with them and my SCD-CE775. In a sense then, yes, my sig is lying, but it makes me both look and feel better

I couldn't get a hold of a pair of V6 even for demo-ing... a store locally sells MDR-7506s but those snobs wouldn't let me try them out either (maybe I need some bling bling on me next time) The V7 looks pretty much the same as the V6, except for a groove going across at the back of its cans... The V7 has 50mm sapphire evapourated drivers while the V6 has 40mm mylar drivers... The V7's freq. response range is 5-30,000Hz while the V6 is 10-22,000Hz... V7 has straight cord with gold plug, V6 has curled up cord with nickel plug... V7 cannot be folded up like the V6... The V7 is technically and physically identical to the MDR-CD900ST... There should be minimal difference between the V7 and V6 in terms of sound as some older head-fi threads pointed out... might wanna do a thread dig on this one... |
