Those floors look good but it's what we call a "box floor". I'd have all my floors milled on-site with really trick layouts and unique designs. After you've seen a really nice custom floor,you'll never forget it. |
Do you like stones alot? I think over done marble look a bit gawdy, but my mom does custom patterns and uses alot of earthy looking sandstone type tiles, you gotta see a shot of my parents bathroom it's pretty nuts (took 4 months to build by one guy).
I love the look of the wood because it's very understated, it's classy yet not pretentious the way marble looks to me. I like marble accents, but not entire marble floors, unless it's tony montona's mansion.
Hey i'll throw this picture in, the wood reminded me of our livingroom floor...
I think for the audio setup it looks perfect (especially since the area is wooded where speakers are while the rest is carpeted)
