Bumping my really old thread.  My old reliable ripping drives are no more.  The newer BD-ROM drives I have are hideously slow at ripping with EAC.  I'm talking less than 1x speeds here terrible.  Just horrible.

 

Any recommendations for a laptop sized external optical drive for fast and reliable EAC usage?
