An Interview With John Grado stickied thread at the top of headphones forum - inside, ctrl-f for sentence "So what can we expect from Grado Labs?"

i bought a pair of panasonic clip-ons a few years ago that had similar construction. too bad they sounded like ass. i threw them back into the drawer after listening to them for 10 minutes and haven't really touched them since. hopefully the ATs sound better. it's really hard to beat the ksc35/75 combo for bang for the buck.

KSC75 is the only other clip-on that I've tried and it's also great. It sounds as good, if not better in some ways, than my MDR-E888LP earbuds which cost 2-3 times more. If bass is a concern, the KSC75 will deliver. For the price, KSC75 is hard to beat.
I have tried most of the clip-ons mentioned above. I prefer to use clip-ons when listening to my portable rig at home for easy on/off. I would second Socrates' recommendation of the ATH-EW9. In my opinion they have a solid bottom-end that is only better when amped. I get much better than typical clip-on isoloation with the ATH-EW9's. IMHO the ATH-EW9's will meet your requirements for great bass response, and excellent clarity. These clip-ons are very comfortable and if you find any that look better let me know.
