Electronic Ave. PAV2 + KSC 75?

Has anyone tried this combination yet?

I'm looking to buy a PAV2, but was wondering if this would be overkill or a good start into a world of debt.

This is the combo that Gary, who makes the Pocket Amp uses himself.

EDIT: Apologies, he uses Portapros. (Same drivers?)

My favorite budget portable rig.

Tight refined sound of the PA2 mates well with the sometimes sloppy KSC75.

Does a 75-ohm adapter introduced into the chain make a noticeable difference in sound improvement?

I love the IPod lineout to PA2V2 to Koss KSC 75 combo. Incredible sound for the price.

I totally agree with the above statement.

The KCS75's sound great, the amp brings out the best of them, and the lineout is another step better (but, in my opinion, lineout is not a necessity).

I think the KSC's and PA2V2 will beat any un-amped (and some amped) headphone(s) under $100. Plus its fairly portable.

the adapter mellows out the midrange and bass exageration a bit. Makes a flatter signature, while increasing sub bass extension a little. Sometimes I use it but usually I dont. I happen to like the KSC coloration for most rock tunes.

And when I can, I could always upgrade the cans and still use the PAV2 right?

Thanks again guys.

Oh and would $50 CDN be a good price for a PAV2 that's used?
