Note - If it says you can't post in this thread ( I think the mods fixed this though) just send me a pm and I'll add you to the list

UPDATE: Group buy ends 8/25

UPDATE: Apparently the L3000 and w2002 pads are in some ways different so this has split in to two group buys, one for the w2002 pads and one for the l3000 pads.

Ath-w2002 pads can be seen here - http://www.audiocubes.com/category/H...ATH-W2002.html

Ath-l3000 pads are not up on the site yet but Kohn from Audio cubes has told me that the MSRP is 70.
The difference between the two pads is rather subtle but the main reason for the increase in price and the different pad is because the shape of the l3000 is slightly different then the w2002. The l3000 pads are also a little bit softer and the material is little thicker, so overall the leather is of a "slightly" higher craftsmanship.

The ATH-w2002 pads work with any of these models:
Ath-w2002
Ath-w1000
Ath-w100
Ath-w10vtg
And probably other older wood models but those are the only confirmed ones (I will update if some one can verify).
The Ath-l3000 pads will only work with the Ath-l3000 (at least from what I've heard from Kohn).

As far as pricing goes, Audio cubes will give us the wholesale price if the quantity of items is more than 10 units on either or both. The whole sale price for the W2002 pads will be $42 dollars and the wholesale price for the L3000 pads will be $59. If the quantity does not exceed 10 units for the w2002 pads ONLY, audio cubes will still provide some discount depending on how many people are set to make the purchase. How ever if the quantity of either pads exceeds 25 an additional deduction will be made, which will bring the w2002 pads to $40. I'm not so sure about what it will bring the l3000 pads to as I have not verified the price (as I don't see us getting 25 people to buy it).

ATH-w2002 pads:
$42 dollars whole sale (10 units) -
$40 dollars if we reach 25 units-

1. Almon -1 pair
2. Runningwater -1 pair
3. mulveling - 1 pair
4. jjcha -1 pair

ATH-l3000 pads:
$59 dollars whole sale (10 units)-
$?? dollars if we reach 25 units-

1. mulveling - 1 pair
2. walkman666 - 1 pair
3. Purk - 1 pair
4. GoRedWings19 - 1 pair
5. mbratrud - 1 pair

have you asked about the HP-W2002 and HP-L3000 yet?

Yay, first group buy in the new forum.

Never thought of a group buy for ear pads. Good job, Chefguru.

How much would Kohn discount R10 ear pads for a group buy?
Those suckers are expensive.
