Look what I got!

Good choice...I'm really hoping we see him do some vinyl soon. He should remaster ESCM for vinyl. :)

EDIT: Another trip to the record store...METAL.

Cult of Luna (These may have CD masters but they're also hand numbered and limited to 1000)

Sunn O))) - Oracle (This was on clear. Didn't know til I opened it)

Sunn O))) - Double O Void (Boring black but done in proper Souther Lord fashion with amazing packaging)

Earth - Angels of Darkness Demons of Light II (This wasn't there last time and this was the irresponsible purchase this time. Proper Southern Lord packaging, cut at 45rpm [!!], 3 sides (one is etched with kickass art, on red 180g vinyl)

Day-um. Consider me jealous. No one does vinyl like Southern Lord. Totally gorgeous.

EDIT: Some new purchases of my own:

Two box sets of Kaoru Abe material, for a total of 11 discs of some of the finest (and most abrasive) sax work out there, plus Beautiful Speck Triumph, by Birchville Cat Motel. Hooray!

Southern Lord is the only label that I will buy completely sound unheard. Well, I guess them and Analogue Productions. They're very similar when it comes to quality of packaging and vinyl.

I've had some discs very barely warped but that's it. Not enough to be any sort of a deal (especially compared to other recent vinyl).

Jealous +2. These are definite must-haves. Especially Earth.

Excited about the Earth find right before I walked out as well. Not to mention the Clear Sunn vinyl. Didn't expect that.

Just ordered Angels of Darkness Demons of Light II on purple vinyl from Discogs plus Earth 2 (their first album).

That's it now, must stop. I've ordered about 20 albums in one evening.blink.gif

Oh did they do it on purple as well? Is it Southern Lord or someone else? Good buy either way I'm sure.

Also, you're never going to be able to stop. It's a disease.

Huh. Guess they did a purple release too. Sounds exactly like mine but mine's red.

I realized they did a special 1000 unit run of Dopesmoker with blue vinyl and a foil cover. Might be the first LP I buy a second copy of to keep sealed.

The SL issue is supposed to have better mastering.

I know. The original also has worse cover art.

The Southern Lord copy is definitely the best version.
