Your 5 newest CDs (or LPs) - Page 362

I heard a few track from it and I don't think it'll live up to their first album, but I have faith it will still be good.

As for Katatonia...Dead End Kings is really good. I bought my LPs some time ago and it'll be in regular rotation when the new system comes in.

I recently paid $50 per LP for a few things...but CDs? Jeez. New SACDs don't even cost that most of the time.

All Killer No Filler brings back memories for me. I still have a soft spot for those psuedo Punk 90s bands like Sum 41.

Wanted to pick up Dead End Kings by Katatonia but then it would've been like $75, plus Iv'e seen that one at other places so it can wait

I never liked synthpop/indie but Gossamer got me hooked! I really like it, I think the listen is worth it

Yes, I know, that's why I don't have that many cds, around 80something and the average I've paid might be around $24, but it's the only way I can get them, If I order through amazon it's still like $20 a piece so it's almost the same, I'm a high school student so I only have some money maybe each couple of months, so that makes it even more though lol. They also sell some vinyl here but it's obviously more expensive, maybe with $40 being the average... So I don't plan start buying vinyl any time soon biggrin.gif

Weapon - Embers and Revelations

Gnarls Barkley - St.Elsewhere

Norah Jones - Come Away With Me

Adele - Skyfall (7" Single)

Crystal Castles - III

I now own Come Away With Me on CD, SACD, 24/192, Blue Note Vinyl and Analogue Productions Vinyl. I will probably never listen to anything but the Analogue Productions vinyl from now on. Couldn't pass it up tonight. I did put back the AP Never Too Late though. Mainly because I didn't have enough for them all.

I bought this album a couple of days ago from Bandcamp.

                              Circus-P - Lucid (Deluxe Edition)

These tracks I just purchased from Beatport.

And these two albums finally came in the mail today. I don't know what took them so long. At least I know what I'll be listening to this evening...

Hiroyuki ODA - Thirty                                                                 millstones - 青の研究 (A Study in Blue)

Ok. I've gotta ask. What are all these CDs with the cute Japanese manga/anime style girls on the front of them? Lol.

EDIT: It's just that it seems like every page of this thread for a while now has had at least a few.

Most of them are probably vocaloid based CDs. Other than that...it's just Japanese, man. Go with it. :)

Like Morbid said, most of my recent CD purchases have been Vocaloid CDs I've ordered from Japan and those almost without exception favor manga style artwork. The Hiroyuki Oda disc is just straight up instrumental trance, though. The artist happens to be an animator/illustrator as his "day job" and he drew the album artwork himself. I believe he does character designs and stuff like that. This is the only series I know he has done illustrations for but I'm personally not familiar with the series, just heard of it. (Oda's current name is Hiro Kanzaki. I think Hiroyuki Oda might be his birth name.)
